- CREDITI FISCALI
Control over the development of the Group's organisation, with reference to organisational structures, size and processes, is guaranteed by the Organisation and ICT department.
After being restructured into specialist business areas in 2012, in 2013 the Bank's organisation continued to evolve.
In particular, as for the Bank’s reference market – related to financing SMEs –, as Banca IFIS launched the Credi Impresa Futuro project, it redesigned operating procedures based on the new ERP system, which is custom-tailored for this business and introduces changes both in operating and sales activities thanks to new product opportunities. The Bank also coordinated migration, training and support processes for all the departments involved. Furthermore, it reorganised credit control to improve the quality of the portfolio, both in terms of preventing – based on a series of warning indicators – and managing risks concerning customer/debtor/guarantor positions that show signs of deterioration.
As for the area specialising in the acquisition of non-performing loan portfolios, it was reorganised to introduce changes throughout the whole acquisition process up to the first stage of debt collection. In addition, specific operating procedures were designed to manage large-scale judicial debt collection actions, supported by a dedicated web application developed in-house to manage relations with law firms the Bank has partnered with. Also non-judicial debt collection procedures were revised, introducing a network of debt collection agents managed directly by the in-house structure. This network will expand throughout Italy during the next year.
As for the retail funding area, the whole service was restructured in order to support the new contomax product, launched in early 2013.
In addition, measures were taken to rationalise the organisation of, and operations entrusted to, branches, in an effort to optimise the organisation of work through a redistribution of activities between the branches and the head office.
As for the regulatory situation, following the aforementioned changes, the Group revised its main internal codes and procedures with the aim of supporting organisational and product innovations.
As every year, outsourcing agreements were revised and updated in order to bring them in line with changes in operations; where necessary, also the key performance indicators (KPIs) for the services supplied were improved.
The Bank also updated its Security Policy Document.
Banca IFIS uses an IT system that includes applications supporting the products offered and internet operations, as well as naturally all the applications for administrative/financial, accounting and regulatory governance. The Bank's position as a leader and its propensity to innovate make it essential not only to be able to manage established services efficiently, but also to foster product and service innovation with an operational structure that matches the high standing of its customers. In order to support the Bank in growing, improving operating efficiency, and introducing new products, during 2013 several measures were taken. Here below are the main projects underway:
- replacement of the IT system for factoring, which will allow the Bank to expand its operations with customers in 2014. It involved the completion of migration procedures, the customisation and integration of other applications, and the revision of existing hardware;
- development of the new system for managing external legal consultants with reference to the area dedicated to buying non-performing loans.
- launch of the online current account contomax;
- launch of the customer profiling platform for the purpose of calculating money-laundering risk;
- work on the introduction of the SAS system for the purpose of risk management;
- migration to the new version of JDE concerning the accounting procedures of both the Bank and the Group.
During 2013, the organisational structure of the ICT division was strengthened even further, in order to bring it into line with business developments.
Finally, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery of the Bank’s management system underwent the standard architectural and applicative tests during 2013. The tests were carried out in the presence of the Internal Auditing.
